These stories are just what a Mother needs to read to her children at night before they turn out the light. If you are looking for a way for your family to spend some time together each night during the Christmas season, then this is the book for you. It is filled with stories that make you laugh and cry. My 4 children ages 6 to 11 couldn't wait each night to see which story was next. It was like an advent calendar that we all could share in.

Too expensive

I ordered this toy for my two-year because she loves the Cliffird Puppy Days books. She really did not pay much attention to it; and I would have been okay with that had the toy not been so expensive. It just is not worth it for the cost. She plays with other stuffed animals and toys, so I really think it's just that she didn't like this particular toy. :(

An Excellent Guide For Young Artists!

This book in NO way deserves the bad feedback that it gets.

I think that people often forget that it's for young artists. Children.

Of course 20 year olds can't learn from this book, but a 1 year old certainly can.

The directions are friendly and simple and include helpful tools like drawing joints and hands, the artwork is colorful and easy to mimic, and it leaves the young artist with a sense of accomplishment when their art actually looks like the art in the book.

So in short, it's not for older artists.

But for children (or adults like myself who like to reference from time to time), it is the best art book that I have found.

How could something like this even get published?

The illustrator obviously has no grasp of anatomy, no one should waste their money and try to learn from this when the author doesn't even know themselves how to properly draw a figure. Your children will thank you when they're older if you DO NOT buy them this.

When I was a kid, this book really helped me out with learning the basics of artwork. The designs are cute, well done, and show step by step instructions on how they were done. I especially liked the two characters she used through out the book -- they were definitely helpful and well drawn. Id recommend this book to anyone. ♡

When Little Tracey has a hard time on the second day of school last year, Anna tells her about a game that her grandma taught her. You would make up a character and someone would make a story about it. They'd play the game every week until Tracey got used to riding the bus.So one day Anna tells a story about Hitler and Mark likes the story but Ben thinks its dumb. Mark get sucked into the story and puts himself in the shoes of Hitler child. Read this book to find out the whole story and why Mark got into it the book so much. Anna, Mark, Ben, and Little Tracey all go to this little bus shelter that fits exactly four people. Mark always shows up firsts then its Anna with Little Tracey in the green truck. Ben later comes and they all stand under the shelter when it rains. Anna goes on about how Hitler keeps his daughter hidden because she isn't the perfect Aryan race. Little Tracey named her Heidi as Anna went on. Heidi has a big birthmark across her face and has Hitler dark skin complection. She has short dark hair and she is a short girl. Heidi never got to go anywhere, she has only been in a car, once when Hitler shows her the pond and the geese. Until later on when Hitler trusted nanny, Fraulein Gelder was told that her and Heidi had to go. There was a car that had their luggage, a car that had them in it, and a motorbike that followed after the two cars. Anna stops the story as the bus pulls up and Mark begins to ask everyone about Hitler. Mark asked Mr. McDonald do kids have to be like there parents? He tells him that he inherits the same attitude but what you decide to do with it is your choice. He later then goes on and asks his dad about the same thing. Anna later finishes the story and Mark has a dream about Heidi's life. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes to keep the same setting most of the book. T his is a book for someone who doesn't care what they read.

I liked how they created the game and made it seem like it was the cure to Little Tracey's fears of riding the bus. Anna suggested that they play a game that he and her grandmother always played. Ben had a suggestion about it being on World War Two but Anna says it is up to Tracey. Tracey wants to talk about goldfish, and horses. Anna made up a story everyday until Little Tracey got used to riding the bus. Tracey was always shy and she was called Little Tracey because she looks like an ankle bitter. When ever it rains is when the game is played and that is how we got into the Hitler story.

I also liked how the made Heidi a real character in the book. Anna tells the story so well that it is like two books in one. She starts off saying that Hitler has a daughter and that she isn't pretty so he keeps her hidden away. He buys her dolls but she doesn't like half of them because they are perfect and she isn't. She cries in the night time because she thinks that Hitler will only love her if she look the way the dolls do. She only was in a car once until Hitler told the nanny to bring herself and Heidi to a small house. That's where Heidi met the Leib's. She and Fraulein Gelder never ate meat untill they moved. They mostly had pig but on occasions the had rabbit.

I also liked how Mark got really interested in the story. Mark wanted Anna to show up early the next day so that she could finish it. He invited everybody but Ben because he will keep interrupting Anna. So it was Anna, Little Tracey, and Mark at the bus stop early. On Friday, Anna continued the story but Mark was upset that it was Friday and he would have to wait until Monday to find out the rest. The life of Heidi Hitler stayed on his mind and he had a dream about it. It was all of the four chanting for Hitler and Mark was yelling this is wrong but no sound came out of his mouth. He yelled stop it and then the dream stopped.

In conclusion , Heidi runs away and she find this lady and a little boy. The two wonder where Heidi's mother was and she told them that she didn't have one. They offered for Heidi to come with them and she accepted. The little boy was telling Heidi about how is sister Helga was killed by Russians. They asked her name and the boy said his name was Johannes Schmidt. Later Johannes and his dad Frau were sent to concentration caps in Berlin. That was the end but the other three asked question about what would happen next .Anna had no answers so she said The End. This book didn't have anything exciting in it. I didn't keep me interested but I did think something was going to occur when it didn't. It was a book with lots of vivid vocabulary. I give this book one thumb up and one thumb down!

Heidi, Hitler's daughter

I really liked Hitler's Daughter. Firstly, because it looks at the whole Hitler and the Holocaust time from a new perspective. Secondly, it shows that a child's innocence is truely innocent. Heidi honestly had no idea what her father was doing to people, especially Jewish people. And lastly, the characters, especially Anna, were very easy to relate to. They had a real human feeling to them.

The best part of the book for me was whenh Heidi/Helga told her granddaughter the story of her life, and how Anna used that story to educate herself and her friends. I wonder what it would be like to be Anna, or Heidi. To know such a story, full of such horror. It must have taken some nerve and faith to share that story with others. I also think that it was extremely clever how Anna tells the story at the bus stop during the rain. I liked the story even more because of how it was written.

I think that the characters and setting are the most vivid parts of the story. The characters because everyone can relate to Mark and his questions, Tracey and how she just wanted the story, Ben with his skepticism, and Anna and her hidden self. The setting was very vivid to me because it is so easy to see yourself there, listening to Anna tell the story of Heidi. Overall, I think this book is very well written and not too hard to understand. I like that it makes you think and its not a fluffy book where everything has a sugar coated ending. This book feels real.
